So i was flippin channels last night and there was this video on mtv, some girl group that all dressed like Avril Lavigne. So i'm thinkin great another pop punk group to make the world think that punk sucks. As i listen to the song i notice it sounds more like country. What the hell is up with this, the music industry decided that the 'in' thing is to dress all there artists like some stereotypical 'punk skater'. I'm sick of it. i like the concept, and your reason behind this too... I am getting sick of it.. but you know it's all a fad for the little Hot-topic shoppers..
In the end it'll fade out as they get on to something new and once again the "real" punks will be left standing in the dark as always..
It's not how you dress that makes you a punk, it's the mindset.

the above statement is way too true. also, i was also suprised by that song...i couldnt believe my ears or eyes!!! ok, so im not punk, but i have some pretty hardcore friends, and i am afraid to tell them..they might kill the messenger. but this is an awesome picture, and it really makes a statement..

i agree with your description. mtv is a joke nemore they prepackage up kids and shit that they think is going to sell then clone it over and over and over. look at all the little boy bands that popped up after people decided they were hip. ne way good work like the statement it portrays

That's great. We all know the contraversy and as long as the media thinks that the punk look looks neat, it's gonna be there. So what ya gonna do? Nothing! Right now I'll worry about bigger better things such as legalizing the Mary Jane and trying to get my god damned school to let us wear hats. Fuckers.

This kicks ass.
I have to agree that punk is becoming a trend and it's making me sick.....tho now "mod" is starting to come in....what?
They need to eitehr shit or get off the pot. This using stereotypes from the 70's-20's is getting redundant. I try to remember that it isn't just the way we look, it's who we are...but, shit. It's still annoying as hell when people come up asking me if I listen to Avril or Blink182.So what if I listen to staygold or cro-mags? That's not scene, so it's not cool, haha.
